Great Reads for 2008

I just finished reading books by two of my favorite authors: The Venetian Betrayal by Steve Berry and Judas Strain by James Rollins. Two great books to welcome the new year.

Of the two, Berry's was better. The idea of finding Alexander the Great's final resting place is tantalizing (I haven't read if his tomb truly has not been found yet), and the fact that Berry did not hesitate to discuss a character's lesbianism or Alexander's relationship with Hephaeston. And the added political thrill was spectacularly written.

Rollins' was a little bit more historical and slow but still something I would definitely read again.
