Pit Senyor! For a Christian country this beloved land of ours loves to celebrate such a pagan feast. But as my former college professor said, at least it's good for the city's economy, so the hypocrisy is forgiven. Hmmm...speaking of hypocrisy, guess who this cute little guy is? Hehe. Yup, that's me several eons ago participating in our own barangay's sinulog celebration, which always falls a week after the big mardi gras.
I greet the night with open arms, and herald my mother's chariot as she paves the way for Helios to take the day. I am the Hesperos, I am the light-bearer.
